SV TravelEdge is a Shipwright 70 designed by Laurent Giles launched in 1990 and is listed for sale with YOTI in Tahiti.

This is a capable and tough steel ketch, a proven blue water cruising vessel built for expeditions and is impressively rated to MCA Category 0. The Shipwright 70 was built to be strong and safe while being exciting and easy to sail by both inexperienced and experienced crews.

Previously SV TravelEdge has been used by the British Army for an expedition to Antarctica and for UK-based sail training.

Accommodation is laid out with bunks (will sleep 18) - ideal for higher crew numbers. The deck-saloon layout with large dining table is safe, gives excellent visibility and is the perfect communal space for crew to gather. There is a dedicated navigation room, a large galley and two enclosed heads.

In 2019 a long list of major updates were completed which most notably include new engine, new rigging and all new sails. SV TravelEdge most recently was part way through a circumnavigation completing a scientific project and is currently offered for sale in Papeete, Tahiti. Lying in a marina berth in storage mode, the yacht would require partial recommissioning and servicing prior to casting off from Tahiti.
